I started selling these dresses and jackets at farmers markets and music festivals, and they quickly became one of my most requested pieces.
But I kept running into the same issue—most dresses like this looked amazing on display, but didn’t actually fit or feel right on real bodies.
So I started doing something different.
I personally alterer after sourcing it, adjusting the shape and fit so it drapes better, feels more comfortable, and works across a wider range of body types.
This is what turned it from a “costume piece” into something people actually live in at festivals, events, and everyday wear.

I can't find the exact dress I bought on this website, because I bought it from this store at a local pop-up markets in Phoenix. It is called the Party Renaissance dress and it is wonderful. I bought this dress at the Arrowhead market in Peoria from my favorite Dress Lady, Allona! 🌺 It grabbed my eye, and I wasn’t sure if I could pull it off, but I had an outdoor wedding coming up in Vermont last year and so she encouraged me to try it on over my clothes, and I really could not believe how beautiful it was. I love my new dresses! I got the Tree of Life, and Lace Paisley dresses and they are both gorgeous. The fabric is light and flowy - perfect for the heat and humidity of a Michigan summer. I'm 5'4", 175lbs, 36D, and got the L/XL size for both, and they fit beautifully. Both dresses have a knee-length lining that prevents them from being see-through, but doesn't add any bulk. She also included a gift of a necklace that matches both dresses, which was a very thoughtful touch.
